Cyclists
enjoy prize luncheon (again)
Seven Club
members did a 38 mile club-run to Middlewich via Barthomley, Betley, Wybunbury,
Nantwich, Church Minshull, in excellent weather, to join eight more Club
members at the Manchester & District Time Trials Association (M&D TTA)
annual Lunch and Prize Presentation in Middlewich.
Congletonians
were honoured (once more) for their individual and team performances,
especially at the individual and combined BAR distances of 50 and 100 miles and
12 hours. Neil Skellern received the top award of Best All-Rounder with an
M&D record average speed of 25.268 mph for his three distances on local
(Cheshire) courses. Neil was ably supported by Karl Austin and Giudo Reynolds
but they were pushed into second place in the Team Prize by the younger riders
(under 40) of the Seamons C.C.
