Congleton Cycling Club

Due to the sad death of Graham McCargo, the recent AGM voted Bob Norton as Chairman and Rob Waghorn as Vice Chairman – both having served the Club over many years in a variety of functions. Barry Fox “retired” as Secretary for which he was thanked for his many years of service to the Club. Denise Hurst was voted as Secretary, in addition to her role of Membership Secretary. Tony Elliott continues his “sterling” job as Treasurer and the Austin’s, Joyce and son Karl are Secretaries for Club Events and Racing respectively.

Club Members participate in all aspects of Cycling – from short leisure rides to the longest competitive rides and tours both on- and off-road. Future reports will describe each aspect in some detail and this report concentrates on the 2007 Club Events.
